Obituary for Carol Ellen Lunceford
Carol (Pullar) Lunceford 79 years of age of Montesano, passed away on October 14, 2021 after a brief bout with cancer.
Born to Rellias and Mae Pullar on February 26, 1942 in Littlefork, Minnesota. The family moved to Montesano in February of 1943 where resided for the rest of her life. Carol graduated from Montesano High School in 1960.
She married Douglas (Hungry) Lunceford in 1961. Together they owned and operated the Osterberg Motel for 13 years.
Carol is survived by her son Mike of Montesano; daughter Connie (Matt) Stowers of Elma; grandsons Braden Stowers of Elma, Alex (Jennifer) Stowers and great granddaughter Dallas of Elma. She is survived by her brother Bill (Kathy) Pullar of Montesano; sisters Barb Robecker of Shelton and Bonnie Schurr of Lynnwood. She is also survived by her special sister-in-law Donna Short of Dallas, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Janice Myers Malsch.
Carol enjoyed gardening, canning and traveling. Her greatest joy was her grandsons Alex and Braden and great granddaughter Dallas. Carol was a member of the Montesano Church of God.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Montesano Church of God with internment to follow at the Wynooche Cemetery and reception to follow at The Center, 303 Pioneer Ave West in Montesano.
