Obituary for Gary Lee Pierce Sr.
Gary Lee Pierce Sr. passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021. Gary was born on November 5, 1945 in Aberdeen, WA to George and Helen (Quimby) Pierce where they raised him at their Satsop home. He went to Satsop and Elma schools.
On December 31, 1992 Gary married Colleen Ann (Jardstrom/Sanchez) in Glenoma, WA. Gary had 3 children from a previous marriage. Gary L. Jr., Kevin M., and Laura L. Gary lived in Satsop, WA, Libby, MT, Yaak, MT, Tooele, UT, and after getting married they lived together in Glenoma, WA for several years before moving to Little River, CA for 5 years before moving back to WA and settling in Montesano in October of 2020.
Gary was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles based in Elma. He enjoyed wood working, tinkering on cars and trucks, and working in his yard. He was a truck driver most of his career years.
Gary is survived by his wife Colleen A. Pierce of Montesano; children Gary Pierce Jr. of Montesano, Kevin Pierce of Colville, and Laura Armstrong of Colville; siblings Jim Pierce of Montana, Ronald Pierce of Olympia, LeRoy Pierce of Las Vegas, and sisters Geraldine Hatcher of Alabama, Sharon Kelly of Satsop, Patty Spears of Brady, Terri Norris of Elma, Gwen Wright of Montesano, Roberta Keel of Elma; and stepdaughters Lisa, Pamela, and Michelle from Fort Bragg, CA. He has 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Donna DeCoy.
