Obituary for Donald William "Don" Pierce
Donald William Pierce, loving father, brother, grandfather, and friend passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, WA. He was 67 years old. Donald was born on April 17, 1954 to Donald and Jananne Pierce in Aberdeen, WA.
Together with his family, Donald spent his childhood growing up in McCleary, WA. Donald also lived in Pacific Beach and Carlisle, WA. When he was 26 years old, he went to work for Simpson Door Company from 1980 to 2006 and then worked for Green Diamond Lumber from 2006 to 2018. In Donald’s spare time he enjoyed bow hunting, gardening, camping, and taking his beloved dog for a walk, but most of all he loved riding his Harley.
Donald is survived by his children Tim Pierce of Grays Harbor, Jason Pierce of McCleary, and Shelley Rhoden of Elma; brothers Jim Pierce of Tangent, OR, John Pierce of Elma, Joe Pierce of McCleary, Bob Pierce of Elma, and Larry Pierce of Shelton; sister Gloria Griggs of Elma; as well as 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. All of Donald’s grandchildren held a very special place is his heart. He loved every moment he was able to spend with them. Donald is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Jananne Pierce and by his sister Sharon Gaiser.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, August 22, 2021 starting at 2:00 P.M. at Northwest Life Center in Elma, WA. Arrangements have been trusted to Harrison Family Mortuary of Montesano.
