Obituary for Richard Allyn Downer
Richard (Rick) Allyn Downer of Oakville died at home on July 22, 2021. He was born in Neosho, Newton County, Missouri on May 3, 1943, the son of Henry Downer and Janice (Dickieser) Downer of Olympia, Washington.
Rick was a graduate of South Puget South Community College and also attended Pacific Lutheran University and The Evergreen State College. He retired form the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Rick Served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1966. His father was a member of the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force, and Rick grew up in California, Newfoundland, and Massachusetts before returning to Washington. Rick Downer is survived by sons Jason (Jennifer) Downer of Ephrata and Sean (Stacey Frost) Downer of Mountlake Terrace and three granddaughters: Byrn, Emma and Hannah.
