Kevin was born in Salem, Oregon on June 30, 1964 to Ray Hodge and Wilma Jean (Hatch) Hodge. Kevin was the baby of the family with two older brothers, Mark and Keith.
The family moved to Aberdeen in 1970. Kevin grew up and graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1982. In 1983 Kevin enlisted in the Marines with his childhood friend Jim Ball.
Kevin married Diane Moss on May 24, 1997. They later divorced. Kevin and Diane were blessed with a baby girl Emma Teagan Hodge on November 10, 2001.
Kevin loved the outdoors. His favorite thing was fishing. He could be spotted fishing off the Jetty at Westport or any lake or river he could throw a line in. Kevin also loved to clam dig, duck hunt, and kayak the ocean. Anything that kept him outdoors.
Kevin was an entrepreneur. He was a big dreamer, and he could build anything he thought up. He carved and painted duck decoys, he designed and constructed kayaks, and he was very good at growing his own food.
His passion was in Hemp. He developed a product called hemp adobe. In 2013 he created his company by the same name in which he used his product for construction of homes. It was Kevin’s dream to create sustainable housing for everyone. Kevin wanted to make a product that could better the world.
In 2009 he met the love of his life, Patti Devine. They lived in Puyallup until his illness brought him back home to Aberdeen.
Patti shared Kevin’s passion for Hemp adobe and worked along side him to turn huis dreams into reality. She and Kevin enjoyed many hours in the outdoors together as well.
Kevin’s creativity and love of the outdoors came from his parents Ray and Jean. They were always building, reupholstering, gardening, and spending much time fishing. Kevin grew up going on many fishing trips with his parents and brothers.
Kevin will always be remembered for his infectious smile and his mischievous nature.
