Obituary for Laura Irene Reynolds

Loving mother, wife, sister, and friend Laura Irene Reynolds peacefully passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Montesano Health and Rehab, she was 99 years old, just shy of her 100th birthday. She was born to Karl and Marion Church February 28, 1921 in McCleary, WA.
Growing up, Laura was raised in McCleary with her 10 siblings, and lived there all of her life. Even though she lived in McCleary, she attended school in Elma, WA where she graduated from Elma High School in 1939. After graduating, Laura went on to work at Mark E. Reed Hospital in McCleary as a Housekeeper and Cook and eventually worked her way up to a Nurse’s Aide. During this time Laura had met the love of her life Tom Reed and from that moment on they were inseparable. Once Laura retired, she tried new hobbies, like baking but loved taking care of the family and friends most of all. She also participated in a local group called Pythian Sisters for many years.
Laura is survived by her significant other of 45 years Tom Reed of McCleary, WA; son Ronald Reynolds of Toledo, WA; daughters Phyllis Reynolds-Myers of Walterboro, SC and Judy Semanko of Ephrata, WA; brothers Richard and Jerry Church both of McCleary, WA. Laura is preceded in death by her parents Karl and Marion Church and 8 sisters.
